When I was a kid, my family's storage container flooded. Inside it were every single photo album from our childhood. Gone. Just like that. The only scraps left were a few blurry prints our relatives happened to save, and they weren't even the good ones. That loss stayed with me. It still does.
I know firsthand what it feels like to lose those pieces of your story. That's why I've made it my mission to help others preserve theirs, beautifully and meaningfully, with real smiles, salty hair, and all the little moments that make life yours.
Because photos aren't just pretty images. They're pieces of your story. They're something to hold onto when time moves too fast, a way to remember not just how life looked, but how it felt.
I believe preserving those memories should feel just as meaningful as the photographs themselves. From our first hello to your final high-resolution gallery, I take care of the details so you can settle into the experience and be present with the people you love.

My Approach
PRESENCE, NOT PERFECTION
Presence, Not Perfection My sessions are child-led, connection-focused, and intentionally relaxed. Rather than asking children to pose, smile on command, or behave a certain way for the camera, I create space for them to explore, play, connect with their families, and express themselves naturally. Some of the most meaningful photographs happen in the moments we couldn't have planned: a spontaneous embrace, windblown hair, a child bursting into laughter, or a quiet moment of connection. I want to leave room for those moments to happen rather than rush past them in pursuit of a perfectly posed photograph. Your Role: Be Present, Not Perfect
My job is to guide our time together, connect with your children, and create opportunities for genuine moments to unfold. Your job is to be with your family and trust me to lead. I ask parents to resist the urge to prompt smiles, correct behavior for the camera, or repeatedly ask children to look at the lens. I know these things usually come from a good place. You want beautiful photographs, and you want to help make that happen. But children can feel that pressure, and well-intentioned interruptions can disrupt the connection we're building. Instead, let me interact with your children in my own way. I'll offer gentle direction when needed, adapt to their personalities, and make room for them to warm up at their own pace. You don't need to make anything happen or worry about whether they're cooperating. That's part of my job. Trust the Process
Not every child warms up immediately, and not every moment looks perfectly composed. That's okay. I can't promise that every photograph will contain a camera-ready smile, but I can promise to approach your session with intention, patience, and care. My goal isn't to create a perfectly posed version of your family. It's to create meaningful photographs that reflect your connection, your personalities, and the beauty of this season of life. Whether your little ones are full of energy or your session is slow, romantic, and relaxed, I've got you. Because I work with intimate groups of six people or fewer, we have the time and space to let moments unfold naturally.
I'll offer gentle direction, easy conversation, and plenty of patience to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera without making anything feel forced. My goal is to help you settle into the experience so your connection takes center stage and your photographs feel genuine and effortless.
And if I'm quiet, it's probably because you're doing exactly what you should be: enjoying the people you love most. You don't need to know what to do or how to pose. Just be present, and I'll take care of the rest.
A THOUGHTFULLY PLANNED Experience
Your time in Maui is precious, and planning your session shouldn't feel complicated. My sessions include permits and standard travel fees, so you know what to expect from the start.
I keep sessions intimate, working with groups of six people or fewer. This allows me to give each family the time, attention, and thoughtful direction needed to create meaningful photographs.
From location guidance to your final gallery, I take care of the details so you can focus on being present with the people you love.
HOW
IT WORKS
Submit an inquiry and complete the questionnaire so I can learn about your family, your vision, and what matters most to you. Once we've confirmed the details, your date is secured according to the booking process.
I'll help you prepare with location guidance, wardrobe resources, and everything you need to feel ready. On session day, relax, connect with your family, and trust me to guide the experience.
Your Final retouched Gallery arrives within 14 days of your session. From here, you can order prints, albums, etc. a la carte.
